French 4-Year Plan
Every French major is unique, and our program is designed to place you into the correct French course from the beginning and give you the personal attention you need to thrive.
Your Academic Advisor is the person best suited to help you choose the courses you need to stay on track. Many of our French majors study abroad, and this requires special considerations that must be made on a case-by-case basis. Therefore, the French and Francophone concentration does not have a single recommended path.
At the beginning of your first semester in French, you will take the Placement Exam to place you into the correct level of French.
If you complete FREN 202 in the Spring, you should take FREN 361 in the Fall. If you complete FREN 202 in the Fall, you should take FREN 316 in the Spring and then FREN 361 the following fall.
