Application Process
Requirements
To be considered for admission to the Accelerated B.A. and M.A. program, a student must meet the following requirements:
- Primary major in Modern Languages major with a concentration in French
- Earned at least 90 credit hours toward the degree, including the courses taken during the semester in which they apply
- At least 24 credit hours must have been earned at UL, including coursework completed as part of a direct exchange program abroad
- Only 30 credit hours or less remaining to complete the B.A.
- At least a 3.5 GPA in French courses, and 3.2 GPA overall
- No grade lower than a B in any upper-level (300 and/or 400 level) French course
Application
To apply, students must complete the online Application for Admission to the Accelerated Bachelor’s / Master’s Combined Curriculum Plan of Study. Applicants must secure approval from their Undergraduate Advisor, the Department’s Graduate Coordinator, the Department Head of Modern Languages, the Dean of the College of Liberal Arts, and the Dean of the Graduate School.
