Placement
ESOL Placement (For International Students who are non-native speakers of English)
International students who do not meet the minimum scores listed below cannot schedule a UL Lafayette ESOL or English course. Placement is based on TOEFL, IELTS, ACT or SAT scores. Students who successfully complete the Intensive English Program (IEP) level 6 should schedule ESOL 101.

After successful completion of ESOL 101, students may register for ESOL 102; however, they cannot be given credit for ESOL 101 based on TOEFL or IELTS scores.
