December graduates Adriana SANCHEZ (Spanish/Political Science) and Quinn SELLS (Spanish/French) will be entering the M.A. program in Hispanic Studies at LSU-Baton Rouge in January, with full funding as research and teaching assistants. Adriana will emphasize Hispanic Cultural Studies with minor work in Women's Studies, and Quinn will emphasize Hispanic literatures and cultures with a graduate minor in French.

In other news, junior major David CATALANO continues his study abroad year at the University of Granada in Spain, and Rachel JORDAN is continuing at the Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara in Mexico. Spring 2017 graduate Esteban QUISPE and Dr. Leslie BARY have translations of Peruvian poet César Moro coming out in January in Asymptote, with an audioclip read by Spanish Club President Cristián CARABALLO.
