Spanish Minor Courses

The Spanish minor consists of 18 credit hours, of which at least 6 must be at the 300/400 level. Spanish 101 cannot be counted toward the Spanish minor.

For non-native speakers, the minor has four required courses: Spanish 102, 201, 202, and 310, and two electives. These are usually chosen from among the 300 level courses: Spanish 302, 316, 320, 330, 332, 340. However, 400 level courses may be chosen as well.

Native speakers must begin the minor at the 300 level. Spanish 310 (Composition), which is required of non-native speakers, may either be taken or substituted with a more advanced course. In addition to Spanish 310 or a reasonable substitute, you will take any five 300 or 400 level courses you like.
