Getting credit for prior knowledge of French

If you have had experience in French before coming to UL you should make sure you get credit for your prior learning. How you do this depends on a few factors. Please click on the option below that best describes your circumstances.

I have studied French as a non-native speaker in a formal setting such as high school or other colleges.

I am a native or heritage speaker of French.

By placing at a higher level in French, you will accelerate your progress in the French curriculum, and you will be able to take a broader array of courses earlier in your time at UL.
